Which is another way of saying, California is doing @AjitPaiFCC’s job for him

But now @JerryBrownGov only has until midnight on September 30 to sign it into law. Retweet! https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2018/09/why-californias-net-neutrality-bill-should-be-signed-law

RT @fightfortheftr: STATEMENT: Historic victory for Internet activists as California Assembly passes #SB822, the strongest #NetNeutrality bill in the nation: https://tumblr.fightforthefuture.org/post/177565943608/california-assembly-passes-historic-net-neutrality
RT @fightfortheftr: WATCH LIVE: California State Assembly is convening. Expected to vote on #NetNeutrality bill #SB822 sometime this afternoon: http://calchannel.granicus.com/MediaPlayer.php?view_id=18&event_id=4573
THE WHOLE INTERNET IS WATCHING!!!
To clarify: There are 2 #NetNeutrality campaigns today.
1. National: Call your Rep. to get the House to support a CRA overturning the FCC’s repeal.
2. California: Call your State Assembly member to support #SB822, going to committee next week.
The CRA would simply overturn the FCC’s repeal, restoring the previous #NetNeutrality rules nationally.
California #SB822 would legislate even stronger rules for ISPs in CA. If the CRA fails, at least CA will keep net neutrality. If it succeeds, CA has stronger protections.
RT @Scott_Wiener: Our bill to adopt #NetNeutrality in CA (#SB822) took another step forward, w 2/3 Assembly vote to allow it to be heard in committee. Assembly Communications & Conveyance Committee likely will hear the bill next wk. If all goes well, the bill will then be voted on by full Assembly
RT @fightfortheftr: BREAKING: The California #NetNeutrality bill #SB822 has been restored and reintroduced and is heading to a vote in Assembly in a matter of weeks. Check our scoreboard to see where your legislators stand, and take action now! https://BattleForTheNet.com/california
RT @Scott_Wiener: For the record: When strong #NetNeutrality rules are in place, data plans become cheaper for consumers. In addition, when federal net neutrality rules were in place, telecom & cable companies prospered & were rolling in cash. @CALinnovates’ claims are simply specious. #SB822
RT @fightfortheftr: Los Angeles Times op-ed slams AT&T funded Assemblyman @SantiagoAD53 for “neutering” #SB822. Calls on rest of Assembly to fix the damage he’s done and pass real #NetNeutrality https://www.latimes.com/opinion/la-ol-enter-the-fray-net-neutrality-bill-neutered-in-the-fine-1529530738-htmlstory.html
RT @fightfortheftr: BREAKING: Led by corrupt chairman @SantiagoAD53 the California Assembly’s Committee on Communications and Conveyance just bucked standard procedure and voted BEFORE THERE WAS EVEN A HEARING to eviscerate #SB822, which would have been the best #NetNeutrality bill in the country.
RT @fightfortheftr: Report from the ground in Sacramento: as of 8:45am telecom lobbyists are packing the room for key committee hearing on #SB822, the best state level #NetNeutrality bill in the country
Call the chairman @SantiagoAD53 right now and tell him to pass #SB822 as written! (916) 319–2053
RT @fightfortheftr: PRESS RELEASE: The California State Senate just passed #SB822, the strongest and most comprehensive #NetNeutrality bill in the country, despite fierce lobbying from ISPs https://tumblr.fightforthefuture.org/post/174413048683/breaking-california-senate-passes-gold-standard
RT @fightfortheftr: URGENT: California’s gold standard #NetNeutrality bill #SB822 is heading for a critical vote in the Senate Judiciary Committee THIS TUESDAY. Lobbyists for big ISPs are doing everything they can to kill it or water it down.
1) Retweet this to sound the alarm!
2) Call 916-823-9612
RT @fightfortheftr: This is a big win for the #NetNeutrality movement, and it wouldn’t have happened without thousands of Californians calling their senators and speaking out. Keep the pressure on! ISPs will be doing everything in their power to kill #SB822. Call 916–823–9612 to take action!
Today, the Senate Energy Committee passed my bill to protect #NetNeutrality in California, #SB822. The bill passed with its strong protections fully intact. Thank you colleagues! Now on to the Judiciary Committee.
— Scott Wiener (@Scott_Wiener) April 18, 2018
CA is proposing a net neutrality bill even stronger than the protections the FCC voted to eliminate at the national level.
A 5-senator committee is voting on #SB822 tomorrow, but is looking at watering it down with loopholes.
1. It’s NOT a partisan issue outside of DC, it’s cable companies vs. everyone else.
2. When you call, remember Sen. Hill is a cosponsor. Let the staffer know you’re asking him to KEEP it, not just SUPPORT it.
More info on SB822 and the committee’s reaction to cable company lobbying:
RT @fightfortheftr: The committee deciding TOMORROW on the California #NetNeutrality bill just released a terrible analysis calling for bad amendments that would water down the bill and create huge loopholes for ISPs.
CALL 916-823-9612 and tell them to support #SB822 as is! https://medium.com/@fightfortheftr/the-fate-of-net-neutrality-could-be-decided-in-california-next-week-260dbe2faf6b
