How Early Megacities Emerged From the Jungles of Cambodia
I saw this squirrel from about 20 feet away. It slowly moved toward me, pausing to pose every few feet. I think it was hoping I would feed it.

The weirdest migraine aura I’ve had added several hours of aphasia to the usual (for me) flashing zigzag lines and blind spots. I understood all the scans they did at the ER, but I could barely string a sentence together. I was back to normal the next morning.

Yes, I know there are always more dishes to do. But I can still enjoy the feeling of having caught up, at least for now.

Dude’s been in office nearly four years and hasn’t figured out that the job *isn’t about him*. Or that, you know, it has actual *responsibilities*. Even after he failed his four-year performance review.

Election maps typically show land. But land doesn’t vote. People vote. Whether they’re spread out over a lot of land or concentrated in a city.

I didn’t see much in the way of wildlife at the park this morning, but I found this squirrel on the garage roof when I got home. The neighbors’ dogs were very interested in it.
