Funny, it turns out that it’s possible to make *contextual* advertising work as well or even better than microtargeting.
In other words, tracking everyone all over the net *isn’t* actually required for the ad industry, or the sites that depend on it.

So you want to hand him a *legit* victory?
No.
Make him work for it.
Make it *hard* for him to steal the election.
Make sure that if he does, it’ll be *glaringly obvious*. To everyone.
And maybe he won’t be able to.
Convincing people not to vote because they think it’s rigged anyway…is the easiest way to rig an election. You can’t even contest the results, because the votes can be collected and counted legitimately.
So don’t let someone convince you not to vote.
It seems to me that the people who scream loudest about “law and order” seem to care a lot more about order than law, and even less about justice.
Your tax bill and your ability to treat other people like crap without repercussions should not be the only standards by which you measure freedom.
Adults should be able to tell the difference between criticism and insults. You should be able to criticize without insulting, take non-insulting criticism without reacting as if insulted, and you shouldn’t hide behind “criticism” as an excuse to insult people.

Gee, maybe running a critical service “like a business” isn’t such a good idea. Or institutional knowledge shouldn’t be thrown out over top-management penny pinching. Or the cutbacks to long-standing policies are active sabotage.
Or all three.
