Spotted a #hummingbird at the edge of the parking lot.
A #hummingbird at a local park. Most of the time they don’t stay in one place long enough for me to even focus on them, even when they perch like this one.
Of course, the reason that it was staying in one spot was that it was grooming, so I had quite a few shots that looked…less impressive.
Some more house finches and a hummingbird. Hummingbirds always look weird to me when they’re perched.
I must have seen over a dozen house finches on a very short walk today. I assume there’s a nest or several in the area.
One of two very small hummingbirds that I could barely see on a set of wires.
There were a zillion of these tiny hummingbirds darting around in the trees, pausing just long enough for me to focus and then zooming away before I could snap an actual photo. This is the only one I actually caught in frame!
Some #birds I saw on a hike today:
- One of several Black Phoebes I saw around the grounds of the park
- A California Towhee that had just chased another bird away from this puddle.
- One of the clearest views I’ve had of a hummingbird away from a feeder.
- Possibly a goldfinch? There were a bunch of them in the same bush.
