Monarch
At least two, possibly three monarchs flying around a parking lot. They settled on this tree long enough for me to catch a couple of photos.

Monarch (in the sky)
Saw this lone monarch flying around above the sidewalk next to a busy street. Took my phone out on the off chance I might be able catch it in frame and maybe be able to tell it was orange in the picture. Had no idea I’d actually be able to see the pattern on the wings once I’d zoomed in on it!
Fiery Skipper
Yep, still seeing fiery skippers in the area.
White Checkered-Skipper (on puncture vine above Bluff Cove)
Fiery Skipper (on yellow flower cluster)

Amazingly I did manage to get one sharp #photo of it before it flew off again. Which was fortunate, because I saw at least a dozen of these tiny #butterflies zipping around the bushes, but none of them slowed down long enough for me to catch them clearly.
Gulf Fritillary
Fiery Skipper
I haven’t been keeping up with all the times I’ve seen these butterflies. Just sort of “oh, another fiery skipper.” And I’ve been skipping them. Anyway, here’s one of three I saw along the same stretch of Chalksticks along the sidewalk today.
Gray Hairstreak
American Lady
Gulf Fritillary (SCBG on bush)
A few weeks ago I saw a lot of monarchs. Today I saw a lot of these.

Monarch

Weird bug
Weird bug I saw today. Looked like a moth as it flew past me, looks like a pair of twigs on the wall.
#iNaturalist suggests it *is* a kind of moth, possibly a plume moth of some sort. I don’t think I’ve seen a moth whose wings roll up forward before.
