The stand-alone episodes are good, and the Burnham/Spock family dynamics, but the main arc gets really frustrating in the second half.

I really liked Outer Wilds

I really liked Outer Wilds. A space exploration game that starts in a forest, where you can toast marshmallows on multiple planets, the whole system is in a time loop, environments change drastically between the early and later parts of the loop, and you find other astronauts by listening for the music they’re playing.
school, parenting, covid-adjacent, violence reference
I’m not big on zombies, but I really like Mira Grant’s (Seanan Maguire’s) Newsflesh series. That said, there’s one story I don’t ever want to read again. The one set in a post-Rising elementary school, showing all the anti-zombie precautions the school takes…and then how they all fail horribly in an extended metaphor for school mass shootings.
