Marbled Godwit
There were two of these birds walking around near each other, jabbing their beaks into the wet sand. I’m not 100% certain all of these are the same one of the two, but I can’t tell them apart.
Feral Pigeon (brown, at pier)
Silk floss tree
Looks like a seedling left over from the previous landscaping trees, which were some form of silk floss. Pink flowers, bulging trunks with spikes, and so on. I don’t remember how long ago they tore them out, because my sense of time is totally messed up this year, but they’ve been replaced with what look like pepper trees.
Not sure if I should mark it cultivated or not, since it wasn’t planted deliberately.
Large White-headed Gulls
When I first spotted it, the gull was trying to carry off the entire paper bag. I guess it decided there wasn’t anything in it worth taking.
Red-tailed Hawk (transmission tower, June Gloom)
Perched on top of a transmission tower where I’ve occasionally seen a hawk before. There are at least two in the area, as I’ve seen them flying together a couple of times.

European Starling
Somewhere between five and ten starlings were flitting up to a wall and back down to the open part of a greenbelt that’s been closed to foot traffic for pandemic distancing, walking around through the grass. From a distance, they were often completely hidden by the grass and I had to take a lot of pictures just to be sure I could see them on *some* of them!

Barley and Allies
the barley, not the purple flowers
Umbrella Paper Wasps
The nest seems empty, so I’m guessing someone already zapped it.
