Indoor mall: palm tree and skylight reflected in polished stone.
A look back at last year’s #WonderCon for #ThrowbackThursday. Watch this space for new photos this weekend!
Manhattan Beach historical cabin at Pollywog Park.
30″ Darth Vader. Fun for toddlers, and parents, too.
Helicopters hovering over Century Blvd near LAX. LST time was that ex TSA agent. I wonder what’s going on this time.

Apparently there was a small plane with landing gear trouble.
Wow. You really CAN get anything at Whole Foods.
Notes on the floor of a #mall under renovation.

Hey, sunlight! This might work out after all.
Wispy late afternoon clouds. #sunset #clouds #silhouette #sky
Shortly before sunset, Katie noticed a really yellow quality to the light outside the window, like an eclipse (we’re *way* outside its path) or inside the smoke plume from a large fire. I went out to see. As near as I can tell, it was the reddish/golden hour light from the sun reflecting off of the cloud layer above us that was making everything look yellow. J came out too, and while he wasn’t terribly interested in the clouds or sunset, he had fun watching cars and people and looking at stuff down here on the ground.
Ok, this taking a picture of your #feet thing has jumped the shark. Even toddlers are doing it!

At first I wasn’t sure to make of this poster. “Believe” that we went to the moon? Well, yeah. Then the Powerball motif was pointed out, making it an ad for the state lottery. Shoot for the moon, I guess. But the lottery is all about blind luck, while the moon landings were planned out meticulously, calculated and tested stage by stage over years, *leaving as little to chance as possible*.
Someone seriously overestimated the appeal of nutcrackers this year. #christmas #clearance
