@sohkamyung I remembered that he fell for the Cottington Fairies hoax, but for some reason I keep forgetting about his belief in spiritualism.
I’ve always found the descriptions fascinating of how mediums would produce their effects. But this has to be the most elaborate one I’ve seen described. Especially the acrobat dressed in black and silently scaling the wall to sneak in the window and wave phosphorescent gauze around the room!
