“Your preferred solution won’t help as much as you think it will, or won’t be effective in all circumstances” is not the same as “The problem doesn’t exist” or “we can’t solve it perfectly so we shouldn’t do anything.”
Treating these as equivalent just fucks up so many problem solving discussions.
