There were several dozen geese, some on the grass and others on the pond. And I saw several fights break out, with shouting like this, or charging. Mostly against other geese, not the ducks or coots, and I don’t think any of them actually connected.

(The guy in the vest was setting out food for the seagulls, so there were a lot of them hanging around.)
A few of the *real* animals that I spotted on my hike in the botanical gardens today: a #MonarchButterfly, a #BlackPhoebe, a #hummingbird and a #rabbit.

Looking up at the walls of a hotel near LAX. The #patterened #facade in the first photo is repeated on several other walls around the hotel. Above it are many layers of #interleaved balconies for the hotel rooms.
Does anyone know the term for this #architecture style? It’s sort of post-Googie, pre-Brutalist?
Not as good a photo, but a wider view for context, before they repainted a couple of years ago. The wall and balconies are on the tower to the left of the frame.
