I love how #PokemonGo postcards always start out with “Greetings from” even when they go on to a name like “SQUIRREL of DOOM!”
According to the postcard info, it’s a mural by Glasgow artist Sam Bates aka Smug.
Someday I’d like to run into some more local #PokemonGo players just so I can tell PereUbu that someone around here gets the reference.
“Hmm, I need more #PokemonGo friends in different regions if I’m going to collect more #Scatterbug / #Vivillion types. What was that site I visited a while back for sharing Pokemon Go friend codes?”
*searches for “pokemon” in bookmarks*
“Ah, https://pokemongofriendcodes.com . That makes sense.”
On that note, my trainer code is 2658 1380 0806 and I play as Magikarpaccino.
The reason Arlo, Sierra and Cliff all act like they’ve never lost a battle before isn’t just posturing. It’s that Giovanni neuralizes them after every defeat. If they can’t remember losing, it can’t affect their confidence, right?
(Not to be confused with head *cannon*, which of course you can find on Genesect.)
A walk through a seasonal marsh that’s out of season. (We’ll see how much rain we get this winter.) And a virtual hiking buddy.

Got a gold badge at a Pokemon Go gym before someone tells Niantic that the landmark has just been demolished.
“I’ll see your statue of a frog covered with buttons and raise you one bright yellow Oldsmobile with a statue of a chicken on top! With a Torchic sticker!”
— things that go through my head while exchanging #PokemonGo gifts
Said I’d do this back in March 2020 if/when I caught COVID.
I’m looking for more #PokemonGo in-game friends. I send raid invites (and occasionally pick them up when I catch them in time!), and I send and open gifts. If you’re interested, my trainer code is 2658 1380 0806 and I play as Magikarpaccino. Thanks!

Encountered a weird bug in #PokemonGo: It could find my location, loaded stops, gyms and Pokemon just fine, but wouldn’t show any map features like roads, parks or buildings.
It’s apparently a known issue with the current version of the app. Clearing the cache didn’t work. Neither did going into Advanced Settings & re-downloading the game data. What *did* work was deleting both the cache and the app data, and then re-signing in (and re-doing all my settings, but at least there aren’t too many).
Just noticed that if you defeat Giovanni enough times in #PokemonGo you can take his pants, shoes, and jacket as trophies.
Which seems kinda weird.
9YO (looking at Rocket Radar in Pokemon Go): OK, Team Rocket is still scared of Covid.
So, my wife got inspired playing #PokemonGo on her way back from voting the other day
A key difference I’ve noticed between #PokemonGo & a couple of short sessions in #MinecraftEarth is that the world of MCE is a lot denser than PG.
With PG, you have fixed locations for supplies & combat. It’s all about getting you out to walk that distance & find Pokemon along the way.
With MCE, *everything* is randomly placed, closer together, & visible from farther away: resources, mobs, adventures. And you can use a build plate anywhere. It feels like you could play it in a smaller space.
